Dr. Khairun'naim Bin Khairuddin

### Dr Khairun'naim Bin Khairuddin is a Family Medicine Specialist and Senior Medical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). He obtained his specialist qualification in Family Medicine and has extensive experience in primary healthcare, community medicine, rural health services, medical education, and healthcare research.
Prior to joining academia, he served for approximately eight years in Pitas, Sabah, one of the state's rural and underserved districts. During this period, he was actively involved in delivering comprehensive primary care services, maternal and child health programmes, chronic disease management, emergency care, community outreach activities, and rural healthcare development. His experience in Pitas provided valuable insights into the healthcare challenges faced by remote communities and continues to inform his research and teaching interests.
His academic and professional interests include rural health, digital health, health communication, chronic disease management, palliative care, medical education, and health services research. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, community-based healthcare initiatives, and research projects aimed at improving healthcare delivery and health outcomes, particularly in Sabah.
