RESEARCH INTEREST
Grace,s research interest involves molecular studies related to micro- and macro-algae, particularly harmful algal bloom (HAB) species and seaweed.Currently, her research are focused on the molecular characterization of HAB species, Pyrodinium bahamense var. compressum and Cochlodinium polykrikoides, and their associated bacteria, as well as on red seaweed species, Kappaphycus spp. and Eucheuma denticulatum. Besides that, she is also working on screening for potential local microalgal strains for biodiesel production and molecular identification of the freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium spp. in Petagas River.
