Farina Othman is an applied ecologist and her research focuses on the adaptation of large mammals in human dominated landscapes such as Lower Kinabatangan. She is also interested to better understand animal behavior to help reconcile conflict between people and elephants. Farina is deeply passionate about the communication of science to the general public, as evidenced by numerous features in national and international media, including the Mongabay, Berita Harian, The Star, CNN and others.
