Professor Madya Dr. Wardatul Akmam Din

Prof. Madya Dr. Wardatul Akmam Din is an Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, currently serving as the Director of the Centre for Internationalisation and Global Engagement (PPPG). With over 27 years of academic and administrative experience, she specializes in TESL, teacher training, teaching methodology, e-learning, mobile learning, and applied linguistics.
She earned her PhD in Applied Linguistics from Universiti Utara Malaysia, and holds additional postgraduate qualifications from the University of Manchester and the University of Essex, UK. Her contributions span across teaching, research, and international collaboration, with over 60 indexed publications, involvement as principal investigator (PI) in Erasmus+ (RM4.3 million) and UMS-funded grants (PI Grants: RM22,000; Member Grants: RM511,933.33) worth of research grants, and graduated 2 PhD and 2 Master's students as main supervisor and 8 students as co-supervisor supervision and currently supervising 17 postgraduate students.
Dr. Wardatul Akmam has been appointed as invited speaker, co-researcher, and guest lecturer at universities in China and Indonesia, and actively leads UMS’s participation in the Erasmus+ CBHE digital transformation project. Known for her leadership, resilience, and service, she has consistently received LNPT scores above 90% and multiple Excellent Service Awards (APC) throughout her career.
