Ts. Dr. AG SUFIYAN BIN ABD HAMID is a Senior Lecturer DS13 at the Faculty of Science and Natural Resources and holds the position of Deputy Director at Centre for Sustainable Society Engagement, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He has achieved a Ph.D. in Renewable Energy from Solar Energy Research Institute, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. As a member of the Malaysian Board of Technologist (MBOT), he is a Professional Technologist (Ts.) in Green Technology field. In addition, he also actively contributes to the community through various activities, especially for rural communities that need renewable and solar energy sources. His expertise lies in the renewable and solar energy field, with multiple academic publications in indexed journals. In 2021, he authored a book titled "Solar Photovoltaic Energy Estimation, Performance and Potential in Sabah." Currently, his research focuses on off-grid solar PV systems for remote areas and solar drying for agriculture product.
Ts. Dr. Ag Sufiyan Bin Abd Hamid holds Ijazah Doktor Falsafah (Dr. Fal.) - Tenaga Keterbaharuan from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
