Cyril Modili holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Communication, specialising in Local Television and Cultural Identity. He also earned a Master of Arts in Communication, with a focus on Media and Information Credibility, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, majoring in Journalism and Broadcasting, from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. His research interests concentrate on the intersection of media and cultural studies, with particular emphasis on broadcasting, television and cultural identity, media and information credibility, and the role of media in shaping culture and society. Through his academic and research work, he actively explores how media, especially local television, contribute to cultural representation and identity formation in contemporary contexts.
Dr. Cyril Modili holds Ijazah Doktor Falsafah Komunikasi from Universiti Malaysia Sabah , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
