Dr. Carmella E. Ading

She began her service at Universiti Malaysia Sabah on 3 May 2010, driven by her interest in teaching and research. During her tenure at the university, she was appointed as the Coordinator of the Master of Counselling Psychology Programme from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, she took study leave to pursue her PhD in Guidance and Counselling at Universiti Sains Malaysia. She completed her PhD in 2020 and was reappointed as the Coordinator of the Master of Counselling Psychology Programme in 2021. Throughout her service, she has led internal research grant projects at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Her research interests include sexual orientation development, multicultural counselling, behavioural misconduct, and issues affecting schoolchildren, such as truancy. She is also a registered practising counsellor and actively involved in community service initiatives.
