Dr. Marcela Binti Pimid is a distinguished researcher at Institut Biologi Tropika Dan Pemuliharaan, University Malaysia Sabah. Their research focuses on Dr. Marcela Pimid is a senior lecturer at the Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. She holds a PhD, in Rural Planning/Environment from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She actively participates in nature conservation, community-based tourism development, and stakeholder management. Her expertise is advanced quantitative analysis, qualitative methods, and mixed-method research. She leads projects that connect local native communities in Sabah with international-based tour operators. She aspires to work closely with relevant stakeholders and researchers to integrate interdisciplinary studies about nature conservation, human values, and sustainable economic development, to deliver better outcomes to society.
