Professor Madya Dr. Susan Sim Chee Cheang is a distinguished researcher at Akademi Seni dan Teknologi Kreatif, University Malaysia Sabah. Their research focuses on PM Dr. Sim Chee Cheang is interested in the impact of post coloniality on identity and culture as reflected in literature and the arts. She has extensive research on the hybrid identity of the Chinese Americans and Indonesians. She is also interested in the changes occuring after postcolonialism from the perspective of culture, and literary theories that have impacted the changes that are currently happening in the arts. Recently, she has just completed her research on the direction and identity of Malay literature under a research grant entitled , The Changing Paradigms in the Arts as a Form of Sustainable Culture, ., She has also done research in the area of kadazandusun folklore from a postcolonial perspective., .

As a member of Akademi Seni dan Teknologi Kreatif, they contribute significantly to the academic and research community at UMS through their expertise and dedication to advancing knowledge in their field.

Professor Madya Dr. Susan Sim Chee Cheang holds Doktor of Philospohy Malay Letters from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
