Professor Madya Dr. Chin Kim On

KIM ON CHIN received his PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Sabah, Malaysia, in 2010. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Computing and Informatics at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. His research interests include gaming AI, evolutionary computing, evolutionary robotics, artificial neural networks, image processing, agent technologies, evolutionary data mining, IoT projects, and biometric security systems, with a primary focus on fingerprint and voice recognition. He has led several projects related to artificial neuro-cognition aimed at solving real-world problems, such as mobile-based number plate detection and recognition, offline handwriting recognition, item drop mechanism, and auto map generation in gaming AI, among others. Dr. Chin has authored and co-authored over 120 articles in various forms, including journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and IAENG societies.
