Dr. Mohd Al-farid Bin Abraham is a distinguished researcher at Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi, University Malaysia Sabah. Their research focuses on I investigate provenance, depositional environments, and carbon sequestration potential of Sabah, s sedimentary formations through integrated geochemical and mineralogical analyses. My work focuses on decoding geochemical signals of key formations including Tanjong, Garinono, Labang, and Kulapis as well as Gomantong Limestone, to reconstruct past environments and link them to modern carbon storage processes. By combining elemental geochemistry, organic proxies, and soil profiling, I aim to understand how ancient systems inform current blue carbon dynamics, soil carbon capacity, and land suitability, contributing to climate change mitigation and sustainable georesource management. .
As a member of Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi, they contribute significantly to the academic and research community at UMS through their expertise and dedication to advancing knowledge in their field.
Dr. Mohd Al-farid Bin Abraham holds Ijazah Doktor Falsafah Geologi from Bristol University, Bristol, UK , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
