Dr Nurhazwani Binti Yusoff Azudin is a senior lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. With a passion for education and an impressive academic background, Dr. Nurhazwani has become a respected figure in the field of Chemical Engineering, known for her expertise in Process Control, Process Modeling, Process Simulation, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Dr Nurhazwani's academic journey began at Universiti Sains Malaysia, where she completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering. Her commitment to the field led her to pursue higher education, culminating in a Master of Science specialising in Process Modelling and a Doctor of Philosophy focused on Process Intensification, both achieved at her alma mater.
As a senior lecturer, Dr Nurhazwani plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of chemical engineers. Her dedication to education is evident in the courses she teaches and the mentorship she provides to her students. Her innovative approach to teaching, coupled with her extensive knowledge of process control and modelling, has made her a sought-after educator in the field.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Dr Nurhazwani is deeply committed to community engagement and STEM education. She actively participates in volunteering programs designed to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education among school children. Furthermore, she is an advocate for astronomical knowledge and is involved in events organized by the Astronomical Society of Penang (ASP) that aim to share astronomical-related knowledge with the community.
