Dr. Farous Izwan Bin Abdul Aziz is an English lecturer employed at Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus with a focus on TESL. He was born in the UK and grew up in Malaysia. After SPM, he studied Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) at university from his bachelor's degree all the way to his PhD level. His main field of research is TESL and writing studies. He has presented and published numerous papers that encourage improvement of the quality of students’ persuasive writing. Besides researching ESL writing, Dr. Farous also enjoys doing creative writing as a hobby.

Dr. Farous Izwan Bin Abdul Aziz holds Doktor Falsafah (Ph.D) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
