Rafidah Md Salim merupakan seorang pensyarah Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) yang berdedikasi dan berpengalaman dengan minat mendalam dalam bidang Teknologi dan Industri Kayu terutamanya Kimia kayu. Selama 17 tahun dalam akademik, beliau telah memberi komitmen yang tinggi untuk memupuk rasa ingin tahu intelektual dan pemikiran kritis di kalangan pelajar.

Beliau memperoleh Ijazah Kedoktoran Falsafah (PhD) dalam bidang Kimia Industri daripada Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) pada tahun 2023, di mana beliau melengkapkan pengajian kedoktoran dengan menerbitkan tiga (3) scopus jurnal artikel dan dua (2) prosiding daripada kajian tersebut.

Usaha penyelidikan beliau memberi tumpuan kepada analisis komponen kimia dalam kayu dan tumbuhan, dan beliau telah menyumbang secara aktif kepada bidang tersebut melalui kajian di analysis and utilization lignin [Huraikan Secara Ringkas Projek atau Penerbitan Penyelidikan Utama]. Antara karya saya yang terkenal ialah [Serlahkan Pencapaian Penerbitan atau Penyelidikan yang Penting].
