Dr. Tuan Norbalkish Tuan Abdullah is a Senior Lecturer in Counseling at the Faculty of Psychology and Social Work, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling, a Master of Science in Counseling, and a Bachelor of Counseling (Hons). She currently serves as the Coordinator of the Master of Psychology (Counseling) Program at UMS. She is also assigned by the faculty to lead the development of the new Master and PhD by Research programs in Counseling.
Her primary research interests include HIV counseling, public health, and social support systems. She is the principal investigator of a Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) project funded by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, focusing on behavioral counseling for HIV prevention among youth in Sabah. In this capacity, she actively collaborates with key stakeholders, including the Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sabah (JKNS).
Dr. Tuan Norbalkish is also a sought-after speaker and trainer in various programs related to mental health, drug prevention, and HIV awareness. She has published articles in high-indexed journals, particularly in the field of HIV counseling, and also serves as a reviewer for the indexed journal International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science (IJRISS).
Dr. Tuan Norbalkish Binti Tuan Abdullah holds Doktor Falsafah (Ph.D) from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
