M Fazmi Hisham started his academic career as a tutor at the Faculty of Applied & Creative Arts, UNIMAS in 1999 then received a Scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia) under the academic scheme training (Skim Latihan Akademik Bumiputera - SLAB) for Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in 2001 to pursue his Master studies in Motion Picture and Television and attended Academy of Art University in Motion Pictures & Television Department, San Francisco, California USA for two years and continued to serve for UNIMAS as Lecturer before deciding to move to Akademi Seni Budaya & Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) in 2008. Currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the Visual Arts Technology Program, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. In April 2020, I graduated with a Ph.D. (Visual Arts), UMS specializes in film studies and currently teaches several subjects in programs involving film, audio video, and as a Panel of Assessors (APP), MQA standard program: Multimedia Creative since 2012 and supervising as well as internal/external examiner for an academic thesis of master & doctoral students including final year projects of undergraduate students.
