Dr. Mohammad Mijanur Rahman is a lecturer and researcher in Animal Science at the Faculty of Sustainable Agriculture, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He specializes in Animal Nutrition, Animal Husbandry, and Animal Reproduction, with over 19 years of research experience and more than 8 years in teaching and supervision.
He earned his PhD in Agricultural Sciences from Kagoshima University, Japan, and holds both a Master’s in Dairy Science and a Bachelor’s in Animal Husbandry from Bangladesh Agricultural University. His career includes over 5 years at the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute (BLRI), followed by academic and research appointments in Japan and Malaysia, including at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and the University of Malaya.
Dr. Rahman has published over 130 papers in refereed journals, presented at international conferences, and received awards for innovation and research excellence. His research interests include alternative feed resources, nutrient and anti-nutrient evaluation, feeding trials, forage utilization, and reproductive performance. He is passionate about climate-smart livestock production and developing cost-effective feed technologies from underutilized forages such as Asystasia gangetica and pineapple leaves.
Professor Madya Dr. Mohammad Mijanur Rahman holds Doktor Falsafah (Ph.D) from Kagoshima University, Japan , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
