Ms. Jecelyn Leaslie John is a dedicated lecturer and researcher specializing in infectious diseases, with a strong focus on molecular diagnostics and pathogen genomics. Born in Kota Marudu, she developed an early interest in science and medicine, which led her to pursue a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology followed by a Bachelor of Science (Biology).

She was awarded a Master of Science with the Best Student Award (Science Cluster), reflecting her academic excellence and commitment to research. Her work centers on infectious disease detection, surveillance, and molecular characterization of pathogens. She have been actively involved in multiple research projects and have published numerous scientific articles, contributing to advancements in infectious disease diagnostics and gaining recognition within the scientific community.
