Dr. Fatimah Ahmedy is a Rehabilitation Physician and Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She obtained her MBBS from Cardiff University (UK) in 2006 and her Master of Rehabilitation Medicine from Universiti Malaya in 2018. She has published almost 60 Scopus-indexed articles (H-index: 10; citations: 336), authored/edited 3 books and contributed 3 book chapters, with research funding of RM759,273.20 as Project Leader and RM1,555,166.50 as Project Member.

She is currently the Principal Investigator for the Sabah region under an international grant from UNICEF for the study “Cost of Raising Children with Disabilities in Malaysia.” Her contributions have been recognised through the Spinal Research International Grant (ISCOS 2022), UMS Young Researcher Award 2019, selection as Malaysia’s finalist for the UK Alumni Award 2021, and a travel grant for the LIFE Winter School on Health and Well-being (2026).
