Ts. Hardawati Binti Yahya

Ts. Hardawati Binti Yahya is a distinguished researcher at Fakulti Perhutanan Tropika, University Malaysia Sabah. Their research focuses on My research interests fall broadly into three areas: community forestry, forest governance, and social impact assessment. My recent research has focused on community forestry management in Sabah, as well as peat fire mitigation and governance in Pahang and Sarawak. I have led and participated as a team member in numerous consultancy projects related to community engagement in social forestry in Sabah, as well as peat fire mitigation and governance. I was the lead author and lead consultant for Penglibatan Komuniti dalam Perhutanan Sosial di Sabah (KIPMAPS), published by the Sabah Forestry Department (SFD) and WWF-Malaysia (Sabah Office). I also served as the lead author of Chapter 5, Community and Forest, in a book published by ICRAF-CIFOR. In addition, I have experience conducting field research in the Krabi Community Forest, Thailand, and in several locations across Sabah, including the Gana Resettlement and Integrated Development (GRID) Project in Kota Marudu and the Joint Forest Management programme in the Kelawat Forest Reserve. .

As a member of Fakulti Perhutanan Tropika, they contribute significantly to the academic and research community at UMS through their expertise and dedication to advancing knowledge in their field.

Ts. Hardawati Binti Yahya holds Master of Science (Tropical Forestry) from Universiti Luar Negeri , among other qualifications, and has established themselves as a respected expert in their field.
