Professor Madya Dr. Dzurizah Ibrahim

Associate Professor Dr. Dzurizah Ibrahim is a dedicated lecturer with a strong interest in industrial relations, employment relations, human resource management, organizational studies, and the sociology of work. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Dzurizah has contributed significantly to the field of social sciences, both in academia and research. Throughout her career, Dzurizah has contributed significantly to the advancement of social sciences, not only through teaching and mentoring but also through scholarly publications and research projects.

She and her colleagues recently published a prestigious book, 'Tiga Dekad Menjulang Ilmu: Sains Sosial Melalui Lensa Waktu', which commemorates the 30-year journey of an esteemed organisation in promoting knowledge and excellence. The book reflects their commitment to documenting the historical and intellectual progress of social sciences. Her latest edited book, entitled 'Sabah Illustrious Civil Servants', an inspiring account of the exceptional contributions of nine Sabah’s distinguished public servants, was recently published. Her book on 'Buruh Kanak-kanak di Sabah' won the best social sciences book award in 2014. Furthermore, among her scholarly contributions is the book 'Hubungan Industri dan Sumber Manusia. Isu dan Perspektif', which has reached its third edition, is an acknowledgement of its enduring value to students, researchers, and practitioners in the discipline.

Her research extends into the well-being of retirees, particularly in the public sector. Her project on the reconceptualization of quality of life for public sector retirees in Sabah led to the development of a module titled Enhancing Life After Retirement Resilience, which received copyright from MyIPO (CRLY2024S05494). This initiative underscores her commitment to ensuring a smooth transition and improved quality of life for retirees.
