Encik Mohd. Asaraf Bin Sahimun

Mr Asaraf Sahimun is a seasoned Human Resources and Industrial Relations professional with extensive experience in employment law and industrial relations. Prior to his appointment as an Industrial Relations Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, he served as an Industrial Relations Consultant with one of Malaysia's leading employers' organisations. In this role, he advised companies across Sabah on a broad range of employment law and industrial relations matters and represented Sabahan employers before the Industrial Court of Sabah and the Labour Court of Sabah. In addition to providing consultancy services, he also conducted training programmes on labour law compliance for Human Resources professionals across Sabah, equipping employers with practical knowledge on statutory obligations and workplace best practices. His professional experience is complemented by his academic role, where he currently teaches Introduction to Labour Law, Employment Governance in the Public Sector, and Industrial Relations Law. His teaching emphasises the practical application of legal principles and contemporary workplace issues, drawing upon his experience in advising and representing employers in employment-related disputes.
