Dr. Sharinah Binti Puasa

Sharinah Puasa is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the Labuan Faculty of International Finance, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She began her career as an Audit Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia before transitioning to academia in 2010. Dr. Sharinah holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom. Her research interests include accounting information systems, corporate governance, small business development, and the cashless society, with a strong focus on both quantitative and qualitative research methods. She is an active member of the Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia (QRAM). Beyond academia, Dr. Sharinah is engaged in consultancy and training projects, particularly in areas related to small business development, bookkeeping, and financial management. She frequently conducts talks and workshops aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and supporting the growth of micro and small enterprises.
