M Fazmi Hisham is a Senior Lecturer in the Visual Arts Technology Program at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), bringing over two decades of academic experience in film and media to higher education. Qualifications • Ph.D. in Visual Arts (Film Studies) – Universiti Malaysia Sabah (2020) • Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning – Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (2007) • Master's in Motion Picture and Television – Academy of Art University, San Francisco, USA (Supported by a Ministry of Higher Education SLAB Scholarship) • Bachelor of Applied Arts in Cinematography – Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (1998) Key Experience • Teaching Career: Began as a tutor at UNIMAS (1999) before becoming a lecturer. Later served at ASWARA (2008), and currently teaches film and audio-video subjects as a Senior Lecturer at UMS. • Academic Leadership: Actively supervises and serves as an internal/external examiner for undergraduate final year projects, as well as Master's and Doctoral theses. • Quality Assurance: Serves as a Panel of Assessors (APP) for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Creative Multimedia standard program (since 2012).
