Professor Dr. Ag. Asri Bin Ag. Ibrahim

Ag. Asri Ag. Ibrahim, is a professor at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, University Malaysia Sabah (UMS). He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Electronics from The University of York, United Kingdom in 2008. Before that, he completed his Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of Malaya. He is now serving as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of the university since the year 2020. He has served the university for more than 25 years. He used to be the dean of School of Informatics Science Labuan and Faculty of Computing and Informatics for almost 16 years .He is the author and co-author of more than 130 articles and proceedings. He is also the principle investigator and research member of more than 35 research grants. His research interests include data sonification, Kansei or emotion engineering, affective computing and human computer interaction. He is also active in community engagement such as STEM program and technology adoption for entrepreneur. And because of this, he is appointed as the subject matter expert (SME) and a member of digital entrepreneurship committee for Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation.
