RESEARCH INTEREST

An interest in natural forest, plants and biology has led to a career in taxonomy and systematics, particularly in Malesia region. My research interest covers plant systematics and conservation, plant-microbe symbiosis (bacterial leaf nodule symbiosis), gingers, Argostemma, Capparaceae, Buxaceae, Primulaceae/Myrsinaceae, and herbarium management. Floristic interests are focused on Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. Currently involved in Flora of Peninsular Malaysia and Tree Flora of Sabah , Sarawak.
