Yong Zi Xian ialah guru Bahasa Mandarin di Pusat Penataran Ilmu & Bahasa (PPIB), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). Beliau memperoleh Ijazah Sarjana dalam Pengajaran Bahasa Cina kepada Penutur Bahasa Lain (TCSOL) dari Peking University, China. Bidang minat beliau merangkumi pedagogi bahasa Cina dan pengajaran aksara Cina.
