Ts. Dr. Carlos Silvester

I am currently a senior lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, where I am involved in teaching, research, and academic supervision in the field of biological sciences. My academic and research interests span genetic engineering, molecular biology, biotechnology, molecular medicine, and interdisciplinary biological research, with a strong focus on translating scientific knowledge into impactful research and education. I obtained my PhD in biological sciences from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology, where I developed advanced expertise in biological research methodologies and scientific investigation. Prior to that, I completed an M.S. in molecular medicine at Universiti Sains Malaysia, strengthening my background in molecular and biomedical sciences. I also hold a B.S. in Resource Biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, which established my foundation in biotechnology and applied biological sciences. Throughout my academic career, I have been actively engaged in research, student mentorship, curriculum development, and scientific collaboration. I am passionate about advancing innovation in the biological sciences and fostering an academic environment that promotes critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
