Dr. Chai Chang Yii

Dr. Chai Chang Yii is a Senior Lecturer in the Electrical and Electronics Programme at Universiti Malaysia Sabah, specializing in high voltage engineering, smart energy metering, signal processing, and algorithm development. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Malaysia Perlis and has extensive academic and industry experience, having previously served at i-CATS University College and trained with Sarahill Consulting Sdn Bhd and Sarawak Energy Bhd. A prolific researcher, Dr. Chai has published widely in prestigious journals and secured multiple research grants for projects on power cable insulation, sustainable energy solutions, and sensor technology. His contributions to innovation have earned him numerous awards, including Gold and Silver Medals at international competitions such as ITEX and the Taipei International Invention Show. He remains dedicated to advancing electrical engineering through education, research, and technological innovation.
