Dr. Mohamad Ikhram Bin Mohamad Ridzuan is a distinguished researcher at Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan, University Malaysia Sabah. Their research focuses on Dr. Mohamad Ikhram bin Mohamad Ridzuan Senior Lecturer, International Relations Programme, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Dr. Mohamad Ikhram bin Mohamad Ridzuan is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). His research focuses on the foreign policy behaviour of weaker states, particularly through hedging strategies amid great power rivalry. His areas of expertise include ASEAN and Southeast Asian security, Malaysia, s foreign and defence policies, and China, Southeast Asia relations. Dr. Ikhram also examines the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the geopolitics of connectivity-building, with a focus on how regional multilateral and minilateral frameworks shape the evolving strategic environment of the Indo-Pacific. Recently, his work has extended to food security diplomacy, exploring the nexus between foreign policy, economic resilience, and sustainable development. Through his scholarship and public engagement, Dr. Ikhram contributes to deepening the understanding of small and middle powers, adaptive strategies in maintaining stability and cooperation within Southeast Asia, s dynamic geopolitical landscape. .
