Dr. Nurhazwani Binti Yusoff Azudin

Dr. Nurhazwani Binti Yusoff Azudin is a Senior Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Her areas of expertise include Process Control, Process Modelling, Process Simulation, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). She obtained her Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, Master of Science in Process Modelling, and Doctor of Philosophy in Process Intensification from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dr. Nurhazwani is actively involved in teaching and mentoring students, particularly in process design and computational methods. She is passionate about engineering education and adopts innovative, student-centred approaches, integrating digital tools, active learning strategies, and artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning. Her contributions to educational innovation have been recognised with multiple awards, including Gold Awards at IUCEL 2025, eLEAD 2025, and Anugerah e-Pembelajaran 2024. Her research interests focus on process control, modelling, optimisation,sustainable chemical engineering systems and engineering education.
