Profesor Madya Ir. Dr. Mohd Azizul Bin Ladin

Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Azizul Bin Ladin is an academic and professional engineer specializing in transportation engineering, with particular emphasis on traffic engineering, sustainable transportation systems, and intelligent transport solutions. He currently serves as Deputy Dean (Student Affairs & Alumni) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

He obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, where his research focused on the development of expert systems for sustainable urban transportation planning. His research portfolio spans transportation modelling, traffic management, non-motorized transport, and the integration of emerging technologies such as machine learning in traffic systems.

With a strong record of scholarly contributions, he has published extensively in high-impact indexed journals (Scopus/WoS) and actively leads and collaborates in funded research projects related to urban mobility, congestion management, and sustainable transport strategies. He also supervises postgraduate research at both Master’s and PhD levels.

In addition to academia, he has professional experience in both public and private sectors, including infrastructure development and road design projects. He is a registered Professional Engineer (Ir.) and a corporate member of recognized engineering bodies.

Beyond his academic and professional roles, he actively contributes to community development through religious education and public engagement, reflecting a holistic commitment to societal advancement.
