Professor Madya Dr. Najihah Hanisah Binti Marmaya

Dr. Najihah Hanisah binti Marmaya is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Accountancy, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). She brings over 20 years of academic experience, having previously served for 15 years at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Melaka. Her teaching career is complemented by an active research portfolio, with strong engagement at both national and international levels. She has gained global exposure as an Out-Bound staff at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia. Her international research collaborations span multiple institutions, including Universiti Islam Sultan Shariff Ali (Brunei Darussalam), Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Surabaya (Indonesia), Universitas Brawijaya, Northampton University (UK), and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Malaysia. Professionally, she holds a Chartered Membership with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and is an Affiliate Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom. Her research interests centre on Logistic Study, Behavioural Studies in Management, and International Business Studies. To date, she has secured over RM 500,000 in research grants. She has supervised and successfully graduated numerous PhD and Master's students throughout her academic career, demonstrating her dedication to developing the next generation of scholars and professionals. Beyond her research achievements, she has received more than ten Teaching Innovation Awards, which recognise her creative and innovative approaches to teaching, including the development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). She is also actively involved in research-based product development, translating academic findings into practical, market-ready solutions. In addition to her academic and research pursuits, she is an experienced corporate trainer. She serves as a trainer for the Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) programme and also facilitates Leadership Development Programmes for Sabah Electricity.
