Professor Dr. Mohammad Saffree Bin Jeffree

Prof Dr. Mohammad Saffree JEFFREE, a public health medicine specialist, professor, and presently served as an assistant vice chancellor (strategic). He was a former dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) from 2017-2023. He previously held leadership positions at the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia since 2000. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals about infectious diseases, occupational health, and medicine. He is an appointed council member of the Malaysian Medical Council. He is a President of Rural Medicine Association, Deputy President of Malaysian Association of Epidemiology, member of Epidemic Intelligence Program (EIP) Malaysia, member of International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH), member of Academy of Medicine Malaysia, member of Occupational Health Doctor (OHD), board member of Hospital UMS, senate member of UMS, and editorial board member of Borneo Epidemiology Journal (BEJ). He holds a medical degree from the Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and a Master of Community Medicine (Occupational Health) degree from the National University of Malaysia. He attended a few leadership programs under the Talent Grooming Program (TGP) (MOH) and the National University of Singapore), Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), and Scholar of Academic Public Health Leadership Institute (USA).
