Dr. Marcela Binti Pimid

Dr. Marcela Pimid merupakan pensyarah kanan di Institut Biologi Tropika dan Pemuliharaan, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Beliau mempunyai ijazah Doktor Falsafah (PhD) dalam bidang Perancangan Luar Bandar/Alam Sekitar dari Universiti Sains Malaysia. Beliau terlibat aktif dalam pemuliharaan alam semula jadi, pembangunan pelancongan berasaskan komuniti, dan pengurusan pihak berkepentingan. Kepakaran beliau merangkumi penyelidikan kaedah campuran yang menggabungkan data kuantitatif, kualitatif, dan penemuan saintifik. Beliau menerajui projek yang menghubungkan komuniti tempatan dengan pengusaha pelancongan antarabangsa. Fokus kajian beliau adalah integrasi pelbagai disiplin tentang kelestarian, ekopelancongan, pemuliharaan khazanah biodiversiti, dan kesejahteraan masyarakat di luar bandar.
