Dr. Nur Athirah Abdullah is a researcher at the Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, specialising in tropical ecology and arthropod biodiversity. Her research focuses on spiders and fireflies, examining biodiversity patterns and ecological responses to habitat disturbance in Malaysian ecosystems. She is actively involved in postgraduate supervision, environmental assessments, and science communication, and is currently authoring works on Malaysian tarantulas.
