Dr. Ahmad Hazim Bin Abdul Aziz

Dr. Ahmad Hazim Bin Abdul Aziz is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, where he brings extensive expertise in advance separation technology. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2021), an M.Sc. in Safety, Health, and Environment (2016), and a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering (2014) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Dr. Ahmad Hazim has developed a strong foundation in chemical and environmental engineering. He is affiliated with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and the Malaysia Board of Technologists, reflecting his commitment to professional standards and technological innovation. His research centers on sustainable extraction methods, particularly using supercritical carbon dioxide and subcritical water, for bioactive compound recovery from natural sources. Dr. Ahmad Hazim has published widely in high-impact journals, covering topics from antioxidant activity in botanical extracts to food preservation technologies, the valorization of agricultural by-products for enhanced sustainability and process optimization. His contributions extend to intellectual property, with patents in green extraction technologies, including supercritical CO2 and subcritical water extraction units and processes, which highlight his innovations in eco-friendly extraction techniques.
